latest activity vs latest posts, I'm confused again

before this weeks upgrade, I could come to the GSR and new posts since I last visited would come up, that were posted since I last visited the site. Can we still do that??? All I see is Latest activity, that I thought would do that, but all that brings up is new topic (thread). From what I'm seeing now I got to remember each forum, go there, then each thread I'm keeping up with while before this upgrade the computer kept up with it for me.... Hope I'm just not figured it out yet

What you want to click is "New Topics" in the upper left corner. That will give you what you want, I believe.

      Rick,
If you're viewing the forum on a PC (I'll assume you are), The Default since last week's tweaks is the Denim Style. You can change this to the Default vB5 Style which will look pretty much as it did before if you liked that better. It's found at the bottom of any forum thread page. I like the Denim except or the hideous orange color of some of the buttons and text. I've been all through the color selections in my user settings and can't figure out how to change the orange color. It's probably not changeable.

I look at the forum always at POSTS, as opposed to LATEST ACTIVITY. POSTS let you see Signatures, assuming you have that function turned on in your Profile User settings on the ACCOUNT tab. POSTS or LATEST ACTIVITY (or PHOTOS) is selectable at the top of any tread page. New Topics is above that just under the FORUMS button.

You can set view POSTS and make sure you have Signatures and Avatars turned on in your Profile User Settings Account tab.

From here you can also create or modify your own Signature. However, sometime in the recent past, the functionality of Signatures has gone nearly completely FUBAR. If anyone that has a signature that has a bunch of links in it, and they like it the way it is, I would suggest that you do not attempt to modify it. For me, attempting to modify my Signature has resulted in me having to resort to a single word Links, which takes you to a Google Doc with all of the links that I had before to files/threads that are important for me to keep handy. Repeated attempts to have this looked into have gone unanswered. Not important, I guess. I do hope we can get back the previous signature functionality.

No doubt, simple for folks that know computers... I found the place to change from Denim to vB5, and changed it and only thing I saw different was the color of the writing, all info is the same... I've not found the pages you put up there that shows Forums---Groups--- and new topics...nor the one that says visitor messaging--- enable visitor messaging... When I first log in, top of page says Forums---latest activity--- and my subscriptions... If I click on forums, it takes me to forums, if I click on latest activities, it takes me to most recent topics (threads) put on here, and if punch my subscriptions it says no subscribed posts to display. Go to your Username at the top right. Pull it down to profile. There you will find all sorts of fun things to keep you busy.

                  Rick,
My wife is also a tech-tard (her word, not mine ). So, I understand the struggle.
Feel free to give me a call. I'm at home now on my windows laptop. I'd be happy to look at these pages, tabs and options with you on the phone. (570)768-5627.
