Yep I'm still getting it, it seems to happen more often later at night oddly enough. No matter, there are usually 500 other things I can be doing at any time (even 1 in the morning lol) so I just do other stuff when it happens. Frank'll get round to fixing it. Remember folks he's 'of a certain age', he don't move like he used to ."Men will never be free until Mark learns to do The Twist."

If the server is at the end of a rural party line in deepest darkest Potatoville, I can understand the bottleneck problem.---- Dave

I'm not sure if it's gotten better or worse in the past week, but it's pretty bad.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red
2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

so the server is too busy and you keep hitting refresh in the false belief that it will solve the problem?

15 Time was an exaggeration. I'll hit it a couple times in a few minutes and I usually connect pretty quickly. It seems to me there is a limit of users allowed on at a time. So in hopes there is a "spot open" I hit refresh so I can nab it and read posts.Jedz Moto

Frank......?
Frank,
Would I be correct, in that "Server Too Busy" does not necessarily mean "GSR too busy".....?
Maybe the "server" also handles other websites/forums also, and as such, could be too much activity on multiple other things...or maybe not specifically the computer that is the server, but the switch/hub/routers or other with the service provider....?
When it happens to me, I just go to some of the other things I do online for a while and come back in a few minutes, or not. SOmetimes good then, sometimes not.
Anyway, .... Frank, Any comment?
Dave

the greater the complexity of the search string the greater the load.
I wonder if the curmudgeons constant whining about folks not using the search function is the root of the problem.
I don't really wonder.........not at all.
