Forum software change needed to REMOVE VORTEX from "New Posts" feed

Is is possible to remove posts in the VORTEX from the "New Posts" feed? I know that some other forums I visit are able to selectively remove posts in certain forums from this feed and my hope is to convince you to do this here as well. The VORTEX has reached all time lows these days with the political divisiveness and I for one am sick of it. Can we isolate this forum further? I don't care if it's there per say, I just don't want to see all the crazy posts every day as I read though the "New Posts".

+1 on this. I do visit the Vortex rather frequently, but that's by my choice. I wouldn't subject anyone else to it if they didn't specifically subscribe to it. I do believe that Ed is subscribed though.

Yes, I'm subscribed. I'd like the option to visit the VORTEX if I choose, but I do not think it should be part of the New Posts feed, which is a great feature to quickly find new content.

Guys like you ONLY seem to post in the VORTEX so you don't need a New Posts feed. Just click the VORTEX and go straight in to find the content you like. Some other people like to focus our attention on the motorcycle aspect of this site, and the VORTEX is a major downer most of the time.

LOL I don't really care where you put it. I just made that post because I knew it would get a rise out of you. On the other hand complaining about a list sounds like the neighbor who complains about hearing someone practicing their piano. Not because it bothers them but because they can hear it..............

That would be like when the soap "All my children" got dropped. I find great entertainment seeing the interaction between members. I hate when the bad guys get banned. Leave it like it is.

Please leave it as it is....Any intelligent human can check the far right column and see if it is a vortex post before opening the thread, right?

I think he's just asking for new Vortex posts to not appear in his feed. Pretty sure this can be done without removing the folder.

Looks to me like he wants to have his cake and eat it too. Play in the Vortex when he wants but not see it in the list of new posts...............
