More fun at work (Can't make this stuff up)

At my workplace they have a GEMBA board at every assembly line. On these boards are posted Productivity, Quality, Safety data as well as issues needing attention. Once a week the Plant Manager and his staff (Quality, Engineers, and production management folks) tour the plant and stop at each GEMBA board and the lead person on the line reviews the issues they are having. Today one of the leads was short on tact and when asked "Why are we here" she replies "The operator on this machine is a total Sh!t show". A senior Engineer relayed this story to me, he said she may get reprimanded but it made his day! I laughed till I cried!

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

So one monday morning I turn up and the entire plant is at a standstill. All the machines at the bottleneck are stopped for some strange reason and operators are thumb twiddling.
I'm trying to figure out what happened and which is the best bet to get going first when the Big Boss turns up and climbs the stairs to the control room.
I'm expecting a rocket and I got one. He showed me a piece of orange peel and announced that he had found it behind the door of the toilet and that if this was the kind of maintenance standards we held ourselves to there could be trouble ahead. Back to his office never noticed the place was stopped. WTF!

Ha, ha: The unfiltered truth is something that Upper Management doesn't always like to hear.

I work in a production environment, and each operation lives or dies by the quality of the operator. We do training until we are blue in the face, but if the operator doesn't care, it all goes out the window. $hit show, indeed!
