I have a hummingbird that visits me every day. If there is a story behind it I haven't heard it ? I thought maybe someone in the building had a feeder ..... As for the snow the city has ground to a halt . We've got about a foot and we suck when it comes to dealing with snow ...... The airport is in complete chaos ......

Vancouver is a mess to get around in. I laughed about 25 years ago I was down there working and it dumped like crazy. I had to run from North Vancouver out to Langley for something and I thought well this is going to be not so great. Turns out everyone had booked sick at work or stayed at home from shopping and I made the trip in record time. Very unusual though, these days I avoid the place like the plague.1986 1150EF

Tough Metropolitan area to drive around at the best of times due to rivers, hills and mountains coupled with inadequate bridges and road systems to match the growing population. Add to this a climate that sees A LOT OF RAIN. I !ived it for 22 years before retiring to Kamloops in the interior of BC in 2020. I always said when I was there God help us if the temperature drops a few degrees ... and low and behold here we are .... Frozen gridlock, few vehicles with snow tires or good levels of experience driving in winter conditions. I worked at Vancouver int airport YVR and know a lot of the trouble was a lot of those that work there couldn't get to work hence the the massive backup of delayed flights. I should mention many who work there commute a long way to work as it is VERY expensive to live anywhere near YVR. Glad I am no longer living down there, I feel for those who are stranded at YVR.GS550T 1981
