    Unexpected moose droppings

A moment that even caught the moose by surprise.

    The video is self-explanatory.

So cold it froze the antlers off a moose.
Do they get a new set next year, sort of rapid growth, or have to start from scratch all over again?

The moose sheds its antlers in the winter to free up to 60 pounds of weight, allowing them to conserve more energy for the cold season. By springtime, antler bone starts to grow again and as males age, their antlers grow bigger every year. This moose’s antlers were ready to go.

Could that be where the old saying of, "it was so cold, I froze my nuts off", came from? eh eh

I know that in Connecticut, the field mice would gobble those horns right up, if they came across them in the woods. It why with all the deer around here, you never see any antlers.
