    New but dubious Canadian record.

This biker has been convicted twenty-one times for impaired/drunk driving!
Police think it is a Canadian record.

The sentence is just short of five years, but despite his record record, our pathetic system will see him back on the road in less than than half of that.

A B.C. man has been sentenced to nearly five years in jail after receiving his 21st conviction for impaired driving — which police believe to be the most in Canadian history.

In a news release Friday, the Abbotsford Police Department said it responded to a report of a motorcycle accident in the 1800 block of Clearbrook Road on the evening of Aug. 15, 2022.

The owner of the motorcycle was known to police for having a history of prohibited and impaired driving offences.

"Upon police arrival, a passenger of the motorcycle was being treated by first responders for serious injuries," police said in the release. "The driver who attempted to flee the scene before police arrival was identified with the assistance of witnesses."

Throughout the course of the investigation, the driver — 66-year-old Roy Heide — was arrested for driving while prohibited and he was detained for an impaired driving investigation.

Police said Heide's blood alcohol content was determined to be more than two times the legal limit.

On Dec. 18, 2023, Heide pleaded guilty to impaired driving, driving while disqualified and driving while prohibited — receiving a total sentence of four years and 354 days in jail for the incident.

"What's incredibly concerning is that this conviction represented Mr. Heide's 21st conviction for impaired driving, which is believed to be the single most convictions for impaired driving offences someone has received in Canadian history."

Odd things, I worked with a guy, roughly 20 yrs. ago, who had "2" first offense DUI charges in court on the same day. Don't remember the exact outcome, but for sure just money, no jail time.

Went to school with a kid, got his first D.U.I at 15 yrs old,

And another soon after, he never did get a driver's license...he couldn't.

He got so bad with drinking and drugs they found him dead at 28, behind a gas station, him and his mother were homeless and living in wooded area behind the gas station....within a month the mother was also found dead in the woods.

His grandmother told me that both sides of the family had a bad alcohol problem and that she knew as soon as the they tried their first drink in life they were doomed.

When I was in HS a friends cousin got his license and first date on the same day. He also wrecked his fathers truck by snapping a pole in front of a fried chicken spot. Dream date for the girl. They're still together though crazy thing.

For many, millions of people, low or even very low IQ (stupid, in slang terms) is a natural and permanent trait. Stupidity is NOT, a treatable anomaly
This biker could be a prominent member or even a group captain in that "club"
