The first time I encountered a senior discount was in a department store in Canada (no longer exists.....the store, not the country), which had 10% off at age 55. I asked the cashier if she wanted to see ID, she replied no....the first time I felt old....Har.

Earl, you bought "clippers"? Have we forgot about the "Flobee"? perfect opportunity to give it a try.... Oh, barber and covid, around here most barbers, even mine, got to requiring appointments and masks. I had to start driving nearly 20 mi. one way just to not deal with it.... Glad when back to normal.

I've been using a clipper setup with variable depth "combs" on it to cut my own hair for over 10 years now, got it at a Dollar General store for about $12. Looked at the Flobee and although it looks nicer than my current setup I can get a lot of barber cuts for that same $250+!

Shoot, never buy that stuff new. Pre-owned "Flowbee" at ebay, complete, tested, works as new under $100-...

Eli, If I can't interest you in a Flowbee, how'bout a buffing wheel?

I could probably use the buffing wheel. Eli's glorious mane, I think, would require more delicate handling.

I can still buy a brand new Flowbee?!??!!! Can I buy stock in the company?

When did that come out, 30, 40 years ago? I remember in the TV commercials they said the military is "considering it."

I guess 'the military' also considered that they had a few minimum wage workers just standing around. "Hmm...if we just put brooms in their hands...we don't need no stinkin' Flowbees."
