Reminder: four wheelers are bigger, heavier....and they can harm you

I do not know what preceded the moment on this video but the actions of the rider suggest that he really should have slowed down and taken a moment or two to calm down...

INSTEAD of waving and yelling at what turned out to be someone who really was willing to run him off the road.

He is lucky to be alive..

Police are investigating a hit-and-run after a van rammed into a motorcycle in Beaverton, Oregon. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, according to police.

    Deja vu all over again!

As I waited in my car at a traffic light I was in the left lane waiting to make a left turn.

HD rolled up to my left in the lane meant for the opposite direction traffic.

A VW behind me began honking his horn repeatedly.

The light changed and I let the HD go ahead

As we made it around to the connecting street the VW, still blowing his horn, passed me, then pulled in tight behind the HD and still blew his horn.
The HD rider, as in the video, flipped him off.

The VW then pulled up beside the bike and was still blowing his horn,
The biker was yelling and waving.his arm.

I guess he had not seen this video.

How it turned out I don't know as I went only as far as my destination, a supermarket, but they were still at it as I turned off.

      They got the basard...

A motorcyclist was intentionally sideswiped by the driver of a blue Kia on Hwy 26 early Monday morning, leading to an arrest Monday evening after an outpouring of tips from the public.

Thanks for finding and posting hat.

I have seen riders express anger many times over the years, and have always felt concern that some day a car or truck will have a really mean piece behind the wheel and cause major harm to the biker, as it is so easy to do.

This is exactly what I have been afraid might happen........this guy is REALLY luck to escape with his life..

Since this is local to me, there's been a lot of chat on local boards.

MC rider spent a night or two in the hospital

Kia driver spent a couple of days in jail, he's out now.

          Oregon has some weird laws

Run over a pedestrian, felony, go to jail
Run over a bicyclist, felony, go to jail
Run over a motorcyclist, kill them, $185 ticket for failure to yield right of way

Local attorney got a law passed in 2023 upping the penalty, haven't seen it applied as yet

The grand jury handed down additional charges of
            Hot and run - felony
            Attempted murder- felony

            Hopefully, justice will be served
