    New bike in the garage

So I'm addicted to facebook market place....lol
This morning over coffee I spotted a 2009 BMW GS800 listed for $2000 4 hours ago with 100,000kms (60k miles)
    It looked a bit rough.
Like I always do I see what else he had for sale to see if he was a "flipper"...and he had a 2011 Toyota Highlander Hybrid with 250,000kms on it for $5500...hmm...his parents bought it new and he bought it from them 3 years ago....he has been living in the usa for the last 3 years with his girlfriend and was back to sell the bike and car before heading back south...
So I looked at the suv and I drove it with him...long story short I made a deal $6500 for both!
My son has a bike for $1000 and my wife has a bigger suv for $5500 for her and the two dogs.
I scored huge points today....but I;m sure I'll do something to screw that up...lol

$1K for the bike and $5.5 for the SUV or $2K for the bike and $4.5 for the SUV, hard for me to decipher which is the better deal... Either way looks like you did good... Way more impressed with Hybrid than EV.,

I think the suv may be the better deal....in comparable ads for the suv i can't find anything under $11,000 for it....dealer offered $9000 as a trade in....and when we insured it we had to pay tax on the blue/black book post of $7600....so we for sure got a great deal.....I just hope it's not too good to be true. First up is getting new tires for it...and detail it.
I'm going to surprise my son today by detailing the bike while he's at work.

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. LOL. Buddy of mine here that collects after he got his 12th. bike had to by his wife a Jaguar, luckily it was used. He's now up to 28 bikes. You got off easy my friend. But if you continue this behavior like he did you will need a bigger garage. And yes, his wife still has her spot in the garage.

Lol....yeah as you can see my wife still has her Fiat 500 in the garage...We built Liam his own garage so he can keep the bike in it with his Celica GT....and don't forget that I sold my Bandit and one of my gs750's a few months ago

Do I see exhaust tape? Can't go wrong with exhaust tape!
1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

I don’t see any tape. Just age/use. Bike looks like someone had fun on it, but I’m sure the next pic we see of it, Trevor will have it looking spiffy.

Fun deal, Trevor. I have a new bike on the way, too. Not one that anyone here will appreciate it, but I'm excited.

I've become a Harley fan, my friend, so, if I decide to grab it, it will be an older EVO Softail.

I'd still get a crate Evo engine and throw a wad of cash at a specialist frame builder, when I win the lottery next week.

Yes. I love the Evos and am taking delivery of a '91 Heritage Classic next week.
