He mattered. I enjoyed his flamboyant early days. I wish he hadn't joined up with the Trumpers, but I guess it makes sense, since wrestling is a lie everyone watches you tell but then talks about as if it were reality.

Kind of why I posted earlier that this could get vortex any minute

But in my memory of hulk things, what really got me was what was recorded when he was t talking to his son , who had just seriously injured someone when the son crashed his car.

Can't remember the conversation and the negative impact it had , it was played over a local radio guys show years ago when it happened.

I'm sure its out there for someone interested enough to search it ?

It was a negative thing on his persona, but all is forgotten/ forgiven.

I wonder though, if not for his trump support, would the criticism of hulk be non existent?

Yeah, his son was racing and crashed the car...got a DUI and his friend was disabled for life....Hulk said in recorded conversation with his son that his friend was probably injured because of maybe killing people in Iraq while he was deployed there....God's way don't cha know.....pos

I couldn't help reflecting that he, a man with a lifetime of physical health and musculature, popped his clogs of a heart attack, while I of the same age and nowhere near as fit as he was, didn't.

Didn't mention it earlier, but will now. My wife's aunt lived next door to Hogan in FL. Wife met him "one" time and was kind'f impressed with how nice and polite he seemed. Aunt rarely mentioned it but said just a normal friendly neighbor, nothing great nor neg. just bigger than the others.

Steroids? In wrestling?!? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.

When I was about 6, I watched Bruno Samartino on television. He hadn't shown up for a match, and his opponent called him a coward.

All of a sudden, Bruno shows up, straight from the airport supposedly, in a suit and tie. He jumps into the ring, and bashes his opponent on the back with a metal folding chair.

I looked over at my father, who gave me a wink. Ever since then, I knew professional wrestling was entertainment, not a sporting competition. Which made me smarter than a good many adults.

Memories of my Great Grandmother, she'd get her chair right up at the B/W TV and punch the TV screen, at the bad guys, trying to help the good guys... I's very young but saw what was going on.

I keep hearing about this vortex place and figured I attempt to get access to it , but no luck so far.

It must be a very private club, that only allows long time members ?

Thought I messaged all the right people to get in.

So now wondering if it really provides anything worthwhile that the campground, campfire section does ?

Message don. He can grant you access. Be warned, it's a bash fest, where certain members with strong opinions, take great pleasure in attacking anyone that opposes their political views.

I feel that Hogan mattered in many ways. Does it mean he was a great human being? No, but then, that would apply to so many celebrities. Did he do things that were interesting, that changed the world around him? Yeah, he did.

That would be a nice start for a eulogy.

Out of the public eye he really did change the world for many. .

                              Examples:

50 LEGS is a charity he started.
It was created to give prosthetic limbs to children and adults in need of them.
                              All free.

Make-A-Wish Foundation confirmed he helped make dreams come true for over 200 children.
