    Bye, Georgie!

My (former) congressman went to jail today.

Goodbye Georgie, we hardly knew ye!

That's kind'f odd, rarely folks that hi up in politics get even reprimanded or kicked out, Jail, that's pretty big. Evident he wasn't as good at hiding the things he was doing as most others are. Is he the one I remember from the national news, a few yrs. back, where they found gold bars in the pockets of his suits in his closet?.. I think it'd be fair for sentences for elected officials, that a majority of the voting public had put their trust and support in, should be double what it would be for regular folks.

No gold bars; you're thinking of New Jersey senator Bob Menendez and his wife.

'Georgie' is George Santos, the compulsive liar often caricatured on Saturday Night Live. My favorite was when it was discovered that he was not, in fact Jewish, and he claimed he meant that he was Jew-'ish.'

Someone please post a video of Bowen Yang playing Georgie.

        Really?
Back in Illinois, where I grew up, we put politicians in jail all the time.
4 out of our last 7 governors, went to prison.

4 out of 7, I'd really hate to admit that, it sure ain't say'in much for those Yankee politicians. I just remember 1 here in Tennessee out of the 10 or 12 in my lifetime, and it's kind'f embarrassing to got to admit that.

Don't bother me. I like my politicians to be cautious.
Having a politician thinking he is above the law, and could do whatever he wants? Can you imagine how much trouble that would cause?

So tell me, is it just that the politicians in TN are honest and forthright? Or is TN just bad and catching criminals?

Can't be sure but appears the politicians in TN. are smart enough to not get caught, something that seems to be lacking up north... How's that for an answer.

Seems appropriate to give this another airing...

Why did an obviously political topic get posted in the Campfire?

Santos is a bottomfeeding scummy troll who could only have come up in a political arena populated by the likes of MTG, Lauren Boebert, Ted Cruz, J.D. Vance, etc., which is to say, an arena presided over by the king of scum, Felonious Trump.
