2025 World Series - Dodgers and Blue Jays

A seven game series starting Friday. Should be a great series with these teams.

I don't have a favorite horse in this race, as my Cubs went out in the first round.

The Dodgers pitcher/DH Ohtani is worth watching though. The guy is amazing.

Ohtani does things that, as a fan of over 50 years, I never believed was possible. Not sure we will ever see another like him.

My team didn't even make the playoffs (although they came close last year to winning penant over the Dodgers) and I can't help but root for the underdog. I just want to watch a good series of games.

Thank Gawd they changed the World Series DH rule in 2022 . At least the Jays have a shot......But the Dodgers are heavy favorites..... I've been a Jays fan since I used to go to the games in CNE stadium ..... Gawd they stunk back then .... I think if we can get the first game and Bo is back there is a " maybe " in the air .......

Nothing against any Canadians but got to admit to being a little biased. Hop'in the Jays win 2nd place, 2nd from the top is always a great job, and something they could be very proud of.

I'm watching this historic match-up for the team that displays the most fundamentals.

As a fan since our Bicentennial year (1976) at the tender age of 10, I've always cheered for the Dodgers.

          Good Luck to both teams.

Lol...indeed. Should be fun series to watch....the Jays have nothing to lose...it's the Dodgers that are expected to win it all....and with the highest payroll in MLB they better.

I get it. I hear that from various people. Have you watched a game since the pitch clock was added? It really did speed things up.
The thing I love about baseball is it's linearity. The games goes til it's over. No quarters, no halves, no clock...

I used to feel the same but they've made some changes in recent years which limits the play stoppages. There's a pitch clock, a limit on throws to first and a 3-batter rule on relief pitchers. Also extra innings play starts with a runner on second which has made those marathon games rare.

The Jays haven't announced who the starting pitcher will be . But it likely will be Gausman or Yesavage .... I'm hoping it's Yesavage ..... A 22 year old kid with ice in his veins ..... Who at the beginning of 2025 was pitching here in Vancouver { The Jays farm team in the Northwest League a notch below Triple A } . He has pitched only 3 major league games prior to the playoffs and 2 since then . Both wins .....

I don't know who the Yanks will see doing their colour commentary but Kanadians will see Buck Martinez who is an awesome commentator .....

Love baseball. Went to may games at Fenway when I lived in Boston. Been to Camden Yards in Baltimore, old and new. PNC Park in Pittsburgh, the VET, in Philly, and many minor league games in Pawtucket, Harrisburg, and State College. Loved playing as a kid/teen. And playing softball for many years as an adult.

Sort of related: Anyone ever been to a Savannah Bananas game? My wife and I really want to go to a game. Looks like so much fun. If you don't know what Banana Ball is. Watch some videos.

We've talked about going, my wife thinks it would a ball (pun intended). There are two games in Knoxville next May.

Maybe that is the baseball salty_monk should try...

Bob, as I understand it, you have to go on the Bananas website and get in the lottery to try to get tickets. The games are that popular, sell out everywhere, and they sell 99% of their own tickets for $35-$60. Some end up on 3-party tikckets sites and go for hundreds of dollars. I think it would be a hoot. Yes, I think salty_monk would enjoy it. How could you not?
