Converting waste plastic into useable fuel

This young man caught my eye earlier this summer and I'm downright impressed with his project. He's using solar power driven microwaves to heat waste plastic and convert it useable fuels such as methane, gasoline and diesel. He's doing this 100% via crowd sourced funding and has made claims to be getting out more useable power out of the system than goes in. No, this isn't breaking the rules of physics, merely converting the fuel in the plastic to a more useable form.

I had watched that linked video a few months ago. Got a clog in the system and no real results.
I've looked for and there have been some follow up videos like the one below with another problem. And several others where he claims to be putting fuel he made from plastic waste into vehicles. But I don't know, Seems like a smart kid. Guess we'll see where it goes.

You really need to watch a LOT of his videos to get the full run down. It would be nice to have something put together in one nice package to promote his story but then again, little bits and pieces tend to drive up views and more importantly, public engagement. If you're trying to make some money via social media it's a necessary part of the game.

Right now he is indeed doing public events where actual vehicles are running on the fuel he creates. Altho his videos often end with a problem or glitch, he does get past them to create actual fuel. He's done interviews with people trying to debunk him and ones where he takes his fuels in for analysis. I'm a "believer" but sure do look forward to some real life peer reproduced tests.

That’s what I was looking for, peer reviewed results, and not finding it. I’ll take a deeper dive when I have time. Definitely interesting.
