Bikes You've Always Wanted But Never Owned

I was looking at a few bikes recently and thought about all the bikes I lusted after but never owned. The list is long, so, for this thread, I'm going to ask that each of us offers up only five.

    For me:

    1976 Laverda Jota
    1977 Moto Guzzi T3
    1979 CBx
1987 Hurricane 1000 (in black and red)
    1989 Ducati Paso 907ie

This should be a fun thread

Yamaha YZ 80 (with a supportive father to take me riding)
    Yamaha YZ 125. " " " " " " " " " "

BMW K75 ( Loan application.... turned down)

A 8.00 second drag bike. (9.70's was the quickest I've gone on my drag bike) I still have it.

Anything with a Turbo Charger hanging on it...

    My Motorcycles:
22 Kawasaki Z900 RS (Candy Tone Blue)
22 BMW K1600GT (Probably been to a town near you)
82 1100e Drag Bike (needs race engine)
81 1100e Street Bike (with race engine)
    79 1000e (all original)
    82 850g (all original)
    80 KZ 650F (needs restored)

ZRX 1200. Obtainable actually I have taken a bunch of bikes off the list over the years. no longer need a Norton Commando, Z1A Kawie, Mach IV Kawie, CBX or Buell. I think I would have obtained a ZRX by now too but what I have in my 1100E and Bandit 1250 are close enough is why I haven't bought one. For me UJM's are where it's at especially when you measure overall performance vs maintenance required.

Any four cylinder UJM is fine in my book! There's also a soft spot for the older Moto Guzzi Loredos and airhead beemers but for the price you can get 2-3 UJM's instead.
        1980 Yamaha XS1100G (Current bike)
        1982 GS450txz (former bike)
LONG list of previous bikes not listed here.

I identify as a man but according to the label on a box of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four

The list is way too long, but it would be fun to try a Rokon in an alligator-infested swamp.

Have everything I want. Half dozen mid and early 80's Suzuki's couple other odds and ends. Hardly ever sell anything, well that 85 MHR Millie so my daughter could go to school in in Brazil for 11th grade. Would like that one again that was over 20 years ago. Pulled an 1150 home from Tennessee for a friend few weeks back. Now he is having second thoughts guess I will be having another stray living in my barn. No complaints guess I am blessed.

GS1150's were on my list for yrs. till I finally got 2 one ratty and one pristine , then found they weren't near as impressive as I'd have thought, didn't fit me near as good as the GS1100's and GS1000's.... Today only interest would be A Honda CBX, preferably a red "79", or a Kawasaki Mach IV H2 triple, preferably the blue "72" but other yrs. would be OK.

I've owned both in the past. Both great bikes in their own way. Honda was a joy to ride, great motor, great handling, really comfortable, great sport tourer. Niggly issues with the chassis and suspension had me sell it after one season. Cam problem was warranty and was fixed so that wasn't the issue. The Suzuki was an '84 EF, you didn't get them but same your '83 ES except for lower fairing. Again great bike but very typical UJM that was totally reliable in all ways. Always liked the 750's over the over the litre bikes of the day.
