Notice that I say "average" as opposed to "normal" when quoting temperature, It's been cold before and it'll be cold again. Just saw a graphic over the weekend, Florida is overall warmer this year compared to average, THAT'S how climate figures into the picture.

Yep, there IS a correlation between warmer temperature and sudden cold snaps coming down out of the Arctic. This guy does a pretty good job at predicting it, I follow him closely this time of year to help plan where I'm going to camp.
