    Profile pic...apparently I'm a noob

Ok, I've done this before, but since the recent website updates I CANNOT manage to get my profile pic changed without it being strangely offset. I keep trying to upload, but no amount of fiddling seems to fix it; I can either achieve bad or worse. What am I missing? Do I need to use a hosting site. Is there a step I'm missing. It's nothing too pressing, but it is a minor irritant.

Rodney, I just did the same and had the same result. Did it on my phone. There’s definitely something goofy going on. I’ll try on the computer later to see if a full browser gives me any more controls for positioning

      Rodney,
I was able to get to work a little better with my pic but only by randomly playing around and trying different picture sizes. I'm not sure what size ended up actually working ( #pixels x #pixels). I have an app on my phone called Resize It, to make simple size alterations to photos, uploaded them to my computer, then just played with different sizes til one sort-of worked. It still has a black border on the right that I don't want. A very frustrating experience with no adjustments on screen to help you fill the resulting circle and no shown size requirements that I could find. After one failed attempt, I did get an error stating a 4608 x 4608 limit. I know this post probably isn't very helpful. Sorry

I struggled trying to change the avatar pic too, even before the software upgrade. Resizing the pic didn't always work. Sometimes a downloaded image would work, maybe two of my file photos out of the many, many I tried actually fit.

I monkeyed with a downloaded image and got it to fill the circle, positioned sort of where I wanted it. Original image was 400X304. I zoomed in and cropped it to 289X224 then positioned the image in the frame a bit off center.

I had that Evel Knievel wind up toy. He made (and crashed) many epic jumps.
