UPDATE: Got a call from my friend Rick who gave me a cell# for the Service Manager at the Dealership. I called him and he said a mistake was made on the labor charges and he said I was owed an apology and he is refunding my Card $123.50. THAT is about what thought was fair for the repair. They haven't lost a future customer after all.

That's almost the same as my independent guy charges, plus your dealer furnished a tube... You think that dealer may deserve a shout out... Heck he may change my opinion of dealerships.

Once the $$ hit my account I will indeed give them a public shoutout.

I am fortunate in having a friend with a tire machine, he charges me $25 for tubeless and $30 for tube tires. But, he lives 20 miles away.

Also, I have a giant son with Harbor Freight tire changing equipment

Shout out to Powersports of America in Paducah Kentucky for doing the right thing! The Service Manager confirmed that I was overcharged for Labor and I have been refunded $123.40.

My worst was taking the bike to the dealership for a new rear tire. They mounted the new tire and walked
the bike around to the front and left it there for me while i paid at the counter. I came out, got on the bike, and pulled onto the road and into traffic. I had gone about half a block when the rear wheel departed the bike, rim, chain, sprocket, tire, axle and all. They forgot to put the axle nut on.

Guessing you had a "spirited" conversation with the Service Manager after?

My worst was about 36 years ago, I had just bought a 81 1100e, it had junk carbs, wrong clutch cable , some wiring issues, stator and forks were way overfilled and with wrong oil along with several other little things

But I knew what I was getting into and had a set of 1150 carbs and with rejetting worked fine and fixed all the things , then base cylinder started leaking and I got busy at work and found out it had aftermarket camshafts.

So I took ot to a multi brand dealership that I had done plenty of dealing with since 1978. But really went to them because they said they could get right on it. Everyone else was booked up, springtime?

They had the bike for a long time, like two and a half months ,end of summer nearing they call me and say they are having trouble degreeing the cams?

And they called a expert from independent shop that I knew of , so I waited , got the call the bike was done.

The repar was more than I paid for the bike.

But I was happy, despite the wait and cost.

The dealership was a few miles out of town, I fire the bike up, it runs great, it sounds great, it looks great !!

I jump on the highway get up to 55 and cruising right along, I take off ramp to head into town and i slide sideways keeping the bike upright some how, look behide me and see oil and shut bike off and coast to a stop.

The oil drain plug had fell out amd I lost all my motor oil, the dealer had changed oil and filter when they were done with repair.

I was mad as can be, all they offered was a new plug, and oil.

I never messed with them again, didnt have a reason too, they went out of business few years later, heard the place had developed a cocaine problem ??
