I do play a lot with turning TC and ABS on and off. A little annoyed that they don't stay the way you set them when you turn the key off then on again. But I am glad they can be defeated. the ABS can actually be set at one of two settings, more or less intrusive, or off entirely. TC is either On or Off only.

I agree the only thing I wish we could do is keep it off BUT I believe that's a Euro 5/6 safety measure that's baked into our English bikes.
The Bonnie T120 ABS is on/off and TC is on/off - Simple and effective.

The Bonnie Scram ABS can be on/off/ progressive Or Off Rear and On front. TC is bananas with endless settings really.
It's always using optimized cornering ABS and optimized cornering traction control via an IMU (Inertial Management Unit). Likely an expensive part if it broke.

However if any part of the TC or ABS system fails the bike still is rideable but will flash a CEL or ABS lamp. Ask me how I know that .

Ok back to Dogs, here's my Zola as of recent, she like tires, as you can tell... Kind of amazing how she has the strength to run with them.

That's why ya gotta focus on the positive aspect, the dogs or other pets were as fortunate to have their people as the people were to have the pets....things could have easily went a different route.

Be thankful for what has been and not the loss, it takes a little time to do I know.

My Beloved Oreo passed away last Sept. 2nd of cancer. He had just turned 6 years old. He was in every way a perfect companion, a pint sized bossy pants Oreo Speedwaggin' snark bucket. He had a little lump on his skin in the spring, and we had been taking him to the vet all summer. He had just recovered from an operation in July and the vet thought he was clear, but it came back and just ripped through my poor guy. I felt so horrible for him. He'll always occupy a large spot in this house, he was truly larger than life.

I'm also very sorry to see that my Oreo wasn't the only one to pass, Trevor. They shine bright, for a short time.

Meet the New Boss... Dakota. She's 2 now, was about 1.5 when we found her through a rescue site. She's a skiddish girl, and had to be given back by a family with kids that was just to loud for her. She apparently had a bunch of issues, and would freak out over stuff like using stairs, wearing a leash, sudden movements... the rescue lady put a LOT of work into her by the time we came along. She was hesitant to give her to us because we're over an hour away and she wanted to be near to help out, but decided we had enough experience to handle her. First off, she almost wasn't the dog that the lady described anymore - no problems with stairs or leashes etc right out of the gate. However I quickly discovered that if she was laying on the couch or bed by me I couldn't move my legs or feed, or even so much as twitch a toe or she'd lunge, snap, and run. No warnings. It was helpful that she never actually bit, but holy smokes. It took a while to get her through that, but she is quite at home now, and she knows the deal - this is her family now, and she's safe here. Her Prozac is reduced now, and she may go off altogether. She's ab fab around other pets, kids, and strangers in general.

She came along at a good time, we sort of rescued each other in a way.

OMG Dakota is gorgeous.

Zola is hilarious, today we had a family gathering as we just recently lost our Grandmother. It was a pool party and Zola just loves the water!!! All day in the pool before working the midnight shift 2.5 year old daughter in one hand and 55lbs Pup in the other.

Enjoy the time with pup!
