Interesting and timely... A FB music page I'm on constantly mocks GVF and I've been meaning to check them out.
I'll reserve judgment for now, but the video is still playing in the background as I type this......
My discovery of the week... I'm quite enjoying our Spotify subscription. Especially since there are no ads...

It's actually a side project by the definitely not sissy band Clutch, but I digress
After listening for a while, I give GVF a nod of approval, not that has any bearing in the real world. It is cool to see a young band with young fans (many apparently), loving real deal rock and roll.sigpic

Ha..... Fandom is a funny thing.
I learned a valuable lesson in high school that holds to this day. There was a kid in our class who was a die hard King Diamond fan. He must have had every t shirt of his ever printed because he wore them regularly and they were all different.
After some mild ribbing and devil worship comments, he set us straight " I like his music " he told us. Nothing more, nothing less. After that I have rarely ever made (spoken) judgment on one's musical tastes, and take no offense if some judges my tastes... I even tell my kids... no need to justify why you like a certain style of music which is VERY different my my rock / blues / touch of jazz taste.
Being fairly new to FB, I do find it can be a very judgmental spot, hence my waiting to actually hear GVF before deciding.sigpic

Norm, funny that you say that... I've never been much of a Led Zeppelin fan either. So therefore, I'll likely not be a big GVF fan either, but as I noted it's cool that they play.... actual instruments and the next generation digs them.... that I respect.sigpic
