Sorry for the delay. Both my computer and I have had some technical difficulties today
Also, with the heat wave, several people called me to get their coolers running so it's been a long day.
I did get out to ride for a while this morning. Took a few pics, but no theme really presented itself.
Here's one that I don't think I've used. If it's not too twisted.
The theme.... Heat Wave.

That tower is a replica of the one that got vaporized at the Trinity site in 1945.

Happy Friday, GSR! Time to review our photos and vote.
This week's theme by Roger (Burque73):
That should be all of them. But if anything is amiss, please let us know.
Don't forget to vote

Trevor.
Remember what Jimmy McElwain used to say: "Have no attachments. Allow nothing to be in your life that you cannot walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you spot the heat around the corner."

Some of my experiences I thought of , but don’t have photos :
- nylon jacket melted to exhaust header pipe.
- me at gas stop, squirting water bottle down back of neck down into jacket, or along arm into jacket sleeve.
- Rich82 and I stopped for lunch in a Bloomington resteraunt , and then Brett Griffin stops in too (saw our bikes). So is the three of us sitting there with sweaty hair, jackets and helmet and such strewn about, us looking out at our bikes out in 96degF &humid parking lot (94?95?96?), thinking that want to wait a bit longer since is cool in there, then notice thermostat on wall , set at something like 76 , but indicating 82deg, the AC not entirely keeping up but the reduced humidity felt good.
Ha! Interesting thought process Roger Burque had to get that idea of theme related to that pic.
Ha! Trevor getting the attention of some “heat”. Ha!
ew, Grimly bike getting hot. Yah, Gustov, look for shade for a place to stop.
Vote for Bob Baatfam. Makes me think of some occassions of riding in heat.Last edited by Redman; 03-27-2026, 10:41 AM.Bikes
