          Voting for Trevor.

I realized after the fact it may be rather difficult to show heat, but y'all came through.

Several years ago I visited the Trinity site where the original tower (like the one in my pic) stood and first atomic explosion occured. The power and heat that came from that blast was astonishing, and to see where it occured really helped put it into perspective. At ground zero, the soil was sucked up into the intensely hot mushroom cloud and fused together making a new element they named Trinitite. Even after intense amounts of cleanup, you can still find bits of Trinitite laying around, though you're not supposed to pick it up. At the exit to the fenced in blast zone there was a table with a geiger counter on it and a few common items that emit small amounts of radiation. I took a shoe off and tested it after walking around in there. As it turns out, a pack of cigarettes (like any pack will) emitted more radiation than my shoes did.

My first tour on my 80/1100L took us through all 100+ deg days, but crossing across to Clarkston Wa. It was 107 on the billboard, sadly no pics just opening up of ge r at the first stop light. Hot. Hot. Hot. Only if you stop.
