I hope I understood the theme right. Often where there is tunnels there are abandoned roads around the mountain, that is rarely used. Some of them are maintained for whatever reason. On my way back from trondheim I chose to go around a tunnel. It was so nice, and there were nobody around. It was pretty overgrown, presumably from the lack of traffic. Will definitively try to actively go on these roads.Comment

This is about 1/2 mile from the house. But the scenery is much the same for miles is any direction. Soy beans then corn then soy beans then corn and so on and so on.
