I'm riding to Vegas this week so maybe somewhere along the way I'll get a shot. Surely it'll rain in NM, CO, AZ, UT or NV along the way. Oh, I'm taking the long way there and back, LOL.
I realize it might be a bit challenging, I often tend to stop less in the rain. My "winter" gloves is a pain to take off and on again. And in the rain its never desirable to take pictures while parked.

You do have a most excellent shot of your bike with a lightning bolt in the background.

Duh! I forgot about that. Quite frequently we get clouds and lightning, but very little rain. I like chasing the storm trying to get pics like this. Actually, it's a frame from a video, but still fun to get.

This one was taken at the BCR in 2019 at one of the many flooded locations that weekend.

End of January 2010, I bought an 82 1100GL from ddaniels. I lived just over 500 miles from him, so my wife and I made a weekend out of it. We drove to Dayton, and then I rode home while she drove. There was no snow on the ground, the temperature was in the 20s (a few below zero in celsius), and there was a blizzard forecast for about 36 hours ahead.
I think I wore seven layers, with the outermost layer being my thick, blue rainsuit, which was very good for keeping the wind off. The little backdraft formed behind the windshield made the rainsuit puff out and it looks like I'm 320 pounds (I was about 190 at the time). I rode about 475 miles that day, all interstate, all about 25 degrees (not counting windchill!) with a blizzard a day behind me.

                  Here's my gear:

Here is a case of a pic that means a lot to me, but is a quite ordinary pic to the casual observer.

Is a pic I took, of my bike, June 2019.
My bike (GK) being ridden by Tim twr1776, while I (with collar bone broke in 3 pieces sticking in different directions) am driving his truck with his bike in it.
TIm offered to ride my bike for me to get it closer to home for me. THe weather didn't look good.

And just so you can see that IS a motorcycle

Here is were we stopped at a gas station when the storm started. Tim getting on the rain gear. Tim looked at weather radar and said it wasnt gona stop raining anytime soon, big red bloob over that part of the state.
Can see water gushing out the canopy drain. I felt bad, and was gonna ask around any local people to find someplace to stash the bike, but Tim said was not a problem to continue on.

And got my bike to Valpo, which is a lot closer to my place than Bedford.

I greatly appreciated what Tim and multiple other folks organised to get me and my bike a lot closer to home (1 1/2 hour verses 7).

Here's an old slide scan from a past lifetime of my crazy sport riding days. Top of a pass in Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado and it's well below freezing level and thankfully the old Supertrapp 4-2 made great hand warmers.
And yes, that's my buddy Neil whose GS750EF some 25 years later became mine.
