Just now Noticed that is a hard hat and lunch box strapped on back, without a luggage rack - so must be shortly after first got the bike, so 1979.
And.... Had to ponder a while about the hardhat.
THen I remembered. Was a peroid of time while plant was under construction that had to walk thru construction area to get from tempary parking area to plant/offices, and hardhats were required in construction area. After a few days of this, a couple of us riders, drug a big wooden crate out to the parking lot to store our hardhats in, so we didnt have to carry the hardhats on our bikes.Last edited by Redman; 03-07-2022, 11:26 PM.

Wear the hard hat instead of the helmet.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red
2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.Comment
