    Saturday vote day Tally

    Wacky 7 votes.
    Steve 1, Trevor 1, Redman 2, Skinner 1.
So Wacky is a winner by far. Usually voting is more split between a couple entries.

    Wacky, Congratulations.
    Is this your first submission?
What subject-theme-topic do you have for us this week?

Wacky, Another note: Friday is the voting day. But I did count your vote that you put in on Saturday anyway, since no winner had been determined yet.
Okay, Okay,.... because it was a vote for my picture har har har (but did not effect the outcome).

Thank you guys, for me it's an honor to be chosen.
That said, just wanted to say that I had all these plans of what I think would be a great theme but unfortunately my plans were changed. As some of you may know, I spent the last eight weeks in the Boston area for work and ironically the same day I posted the picture of my bike with the Vomit Comet, I was injured on the job. I literally sprained my back while disconnecting the power cord from an airplane, it was bad enough to send me to the emergency room. I'm home now and very slowly getting around with the help of industrial strength Ibuprofen and Flexeril. Under this current condition I'm not able to go get the picture I really wanted so instead, if it is ok with the way the game is played I was planning to get a picture of my bike with the San Jacinto Monument which memorializes the Battle of San Jacinto which happened not long after The Alamo and Goliad but for now I'm kinda grounded from riding so, if it is acceptable, I would like the theme to be "Monumental."
Obviously I won't have an entry for this theme but it's always been on my mind,,,,,,,,,,,, If it's acceptable.
If not, I will have to graciously pass on to I believe it was Redman who garnered the next votes.

I also want to add that I never even thought that I would have a chance considering the pictures that you guys have shared since the beginning of this game.

Congrats again, Wacky. May your healing come well!

            Monumental it is!
And for the pedants among us,
            c. 1600, “pertaining to a monument,” from Late Latin monumentalis “pertaining to a monument,” from monumentum (see monument). From 1650s in the loose sense of “vast, stupendous.”
and keeping in mind Wacky's thinking, inspired by the San Jacinto Monument which memorializes the Battle of San Jacinto.

Remember Wacky, it doesn't have to be a new picture. Anything from the past, with any bike that was yours, will work.

Oh Man! So sorry to hear of what happened. I hope you'll be compensated for lost time and have all expenses covered by insurance.

Thanks for checking in and giving a new theme. Maybe you can get one the guys to photoshop your bike out in front of that monument, just for fun.

Take care and heal up well!

Oh, yeah consider what just Baatfam said too.

Yes, As others have mentioned, Naming the theme without submitting an entry is acceptable. (The initial rules may not specifically say that, but early discussion elaborated on that point.)

                            The Huntington Memorial Arch
was built between 1924 and 1929 by the Cabell County War Memorial Association as a memorial to the dead and to those who served the county in World War I. It is built of gray Indiana Limestone on a gray granite base. It measures 42 feet high, 34 feet wide, and 9 feet deep. It features Classical Revival style bas-relief carvings. The structure was rededicated in 1980. It is the only triumphal style arch in West Virginia.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
I forgot this picture had a flag, otherwise I would've submitted it a few weeks ago.

How about something a little more natural? This is the Miamisburg Mound that is a large piece of Miamisburg and Ohio history. Believed to be a burial place for the Adena Indian tribe who lived in the area between 1000 B.C. and 400 A.D. Exploration has been very brief and not all of the mound has been searched. The city has constructed a fence around the top and installed 116 steps enabling people to climb to the top but we cannot drive up close to it

The view from the top; I can also see my VA hospital (12 miles away) from the opposite side of the mound but that picture didn't come out right

You may have to zoom in to see this very well but I couldn't get it all in one shot properly.
