It's didn't used to be all that remarkable in Scotland and Ireland for young'uns to get wed and start popping them out at 16. I knew quite a few grandads who were in their early 30s, and many more in their late 30s.

That's actually where my ancestors on both sides are from, coincidentally, according to my DNA tests.

Also coincidentall, or not, is all of our kids and now oldest grandkid (step- grandkid if it matters) riding motorcycles.

My wheeled roots reach back to long before we felt the need to document it. Mini bikes, go carts, etc. Heck, we may have been 30 something years ahead of the current off road mower trend. The oldest machine (timewise) of mine I have pics of... Honds's absolutely brilliant ATC 250r. Mine was a 1986- the watercooled swan song of the range. I was a bit of a cocky bastard hillclimbing and ripping around in the sand pit on that thing.

Glen, that 250R was a monster. When I was trading up from the Yamaha 200, I picked the tamer 200X when I bought new in ‘86. Even that got me in enough trouble. I think the 250 2stroke racer would have killed me. And that’s a fantastic pic. Can I vote now?

Last minute entry. First picture I have of me with a motorcycle--from Aug 1969. I purchased it new in Portland OR and rode it cross country to Ft Gordon (Augusta) GA coming back from my last VN gig. There are better bikes for touring.

Great Stuff, all!. Gotta vote for my fellow three-wheeler, Dorkburger. We used to ride in the same kind of stuff, but here in central PA, the sand dunes and hill climbs are black coal from abandoned mine lands.
