Hey y’all, I’m on vacation but I can maybe participate from afar. I might need some formatting help though

Um, if I told you there is definitely someone else’s GS somewhere in this row of bikes, would you believe me?

Here is a cool GS-850 that gets a lot of votes....
My motorcycle (FJR) is parked up next to the BMW. 20210611_161820.jpg

                  Have a busy week.
Here is first I could find.
                  THis year BC.
Dale Dogma 850GK track bike (yes, 850, GK bags, he takes to track days), other GSs. My RT (same as in Norm Storm pic) way in back, can barley see.

Maybe the multiple GSs will deserve enough extra points to counter balance having the truck in the picture.

                  >>later note
oh, this pic was this year. In most years I park along that row, but I did not park there this year…. So this pic does not include my bike…. Fraud…. Cheat…. Stealing….. only way I can win is by fraud ! !

I may be able to find a replacement this evening, maybe not.

                  >>
Here I found this, my GK cam cap with reflection of other GS
not too sharp/clear, but has my bike.
                  2017 BC bike of Greg?Bossler?

Ha, a familiar scene. I was going to post a pic in the same spot taken after the rain. Steve's 850 next to mine has the blanket taken off. Pretty sure Redman took the pic I was thinking about so will use something else.

Question.....Is it the bike, the scene, the composition, the mood that gets votes? Over the last five years or so of playing this thing, you could say many bikes here have gotten lots of votes.

I have all of the above criteria and more, individually, or combined, to vote. It's kinda like you know it when you see it. At least for me.

I've always considered this a straight photo contest. The theme is just a starting point for us, and is not important to my vote.
I vote for the photo that works best for me.
All the usual stuff, exposure, framing, composition, leading lines, balance, clear subject, etc., but it also has to tell a clear story.

Ya know, after I posted that "this motorcycle gets a lot of votes" it made me think.(I was going to edit it, but I didn't) Sure it's a beautiful motorcycle. But it's more beautiful with a mountain background or sunset or whatever the subject it's in. That's what gets the votes!
The picture I posted fits the theme and kind of tells a story. " It's raining, I'm 2,500 miles away from home, I might not look my best but I'm running good and I'm here"...
That's what I see when I look at that picture. Plus it gives me a chance to use Roger's sweet GS in a photo contest! Haha.

Hopefully no wrong answers. For me, the photo means little, it's the picture that gets my attention. Framing, exposure, leading lines, composition, and balance means little as long as I like the picture....
