Wednesday night. Taken during a stop on an actual motocycle ride. First ride since last August. It was short, but sure felt great.

Yes, two actually. View is from the side. The boards are arranged in a V shape so they can be viewed from each direction of the curved road with the open end facing the camera. There was some cool light play in the fog, but once again, depending on what device I review them on the image brightness varies. Still not able to set up the computer (weak excuse based on lack of desire) for editing programs. I may try some in camera editing to see how that works. Getting it right at the time of exposure is my main goal though.

Thank you for the explanation Glen. I really like how that looks no matter what device I look at it on.

You can see the layers of lava flows in those pics
The volcanoes spread lava in every direction, many flows reached the Pacific Ocean, over 100 miles away. The relentless Pacific Ocean chewed away at the flows, and it ends up with the famous haystack rocks and stuff like this

Cape Blanco was thought to be the farthest west point in the 48, but as navigation improved, it was found that Cape Flattery in WA was actually a bit farther west

For those of you wondering about technical stuff, most of these were shot with a 12 MP Lumix snap camera. Others, with a similar Sony

And, for a different perspective, I walked out on the deck one day to see what the local crows were making a fuss about and found this owl

                        DSC02521 by T, on Flickr

I was about 3-4 feet away, he sat there for about 30 minutes, then left. I figured some crows had found him and had chased him, then he found refuge under our eave. He was probably exhausted, he never moved except to turn his head.

Stopped at a small creek near the garage before going to fix the turn signal this evening and really liked the way the sun shone from behind the clouds. I need to learn how to get the rays just right.
