Dave, I love the old image. Trevor, I like street photography and the capturing of people living life.

Great shots Glen. It's amazing how rain can perk up a night shot. Great reflection.

Thanks. I love reflection shots. It wasn't too cold out so I figured I'd take a walk. I was hoping to find some brightly decorated hoses along some sidestreets for some bright, colorful reflections, but I could find much of anything.

DB, You sure have an eye for finding scenes, and then skill to make a good photo.
              At night, no less.

I too went for photowalk this afternoon, and also was not finding what I was expecting (ice had melted off the pier & lighthouse), so was looking for whatever.

                Walked out on pier again.
Usally is windy and lot colder than folks expect, so they turn back real soon and go back to the fudge shops and such downtown. But today is 32degF but very calm, no wind at all, and not icy on the pier, so more folks were making it further out.

Is three of these big old iron fire escapes (with the weighted levered section to the ground level) in a two block area, that I have found interesting against the brick side of the building. But all three of them have big trees in front of them, so winter time is better time to look at them.

I got bored last night so I drove south to Lebanon OH for my own walk around a different old small town. It was nice to see some different things and I had to chuckle at this site. It's hard to see without zooming in but one clock is off by about 2 hours from the other three on the town hall's tower

And then there's the train that I had taken pictures of before.

Looks like maybe could be another one to place in the parks photo contest.

Thanks guys. As a few here are aware, I'm not a huge fan of sunrise / sunset shots. It's a beautiful, but overdone subject. I enjoy taking them, but they have to have something extra special for me to share. It's a weird personal thing.... I did particularly like this morning’s colors and clouds, and the symmetry of reflections so I shared. Dave, I may consider it. We'll see. I want to find some ice realted images, but it seems that it needs to be pretty cold for at least a few days for any interesting ice. I'm still learning the place's winter rhythm.

Another from this morning. I like the left to right movement in the clouds and how the trees on the left touch the clouds.

It seems most people who take sunset shots generally go for lots colour and only pay secondary thought to the careful composition of the actual photography itself. This is why I think they become rather repetitive after a while. The photos, as yours are, should be a great shot with or without the sunset and the sunset should only add some contrast or accent to an already good composition. When I look at your last couple of shots they would quite outstanding even without the sunsets and even good as a normal or soft contrast black and white. That being said and for the reasons above I do like the softer, less distracting colours in your second shot better.
