That was probably the most surprising shot from last night, and likely my favorite. I was using the Sears lens to do moonrise shots, and when I was getting ready to head out, I saw the clouds and decided to use the 14mm prime lens for a wider view. I love the overall feel of it.

45mm (so 90 equivilant) with 10mm extension for closer focus (I dont know what that does for magnification, nothing I suspect).
THese are flowers that are about 8 inches in diameter.

Opps. Extension tube does increase magnification (I think I knew that at one time, but forgot.)

200mm lens with 1.0x magnification / 14mm extension tube
14mm / 200mm = 0.07x 1.0x + 0.07 = 1.07x total magnification


60mm lens with 1.0x magnification / 14mm extension tube
14mm / 60mm = 0.23x 1.0x + 0.23 = 1.23x total magnification

Thanks. Every time I moved to his side of the flowers, he went back to the other side. I chased him around the plants for several minutes...LOL..
