Here's an old favourite from my black and white darkroom days.

I have fond memories of the darkroom.... despite the smell of fixer...sigpic

I've been quite lazy with sharing here...
An after work walk this afternoon. The old 10 dollar adapted Sears lens at work yet again.

I always wanted a proper darkroom, but was never really in a position to build one.Originally posted by dorkburger View PostI have fond memories of the darkroom.... despite the smell of fixer...
Ironically, the advent of digital re-awakened my interest in film and for the past 15 years or so I've been developing B&W films using changing bags and daylight tanks, to good effect.
It suddenly struck me a few months ago that I have the perfect place to make a darkroom from scratch, above the workshop, on the mezzanine floor. It's just used for storage of boxes and other crap, so a few square feet won't affect it. Power is already run around the mezz, and water / drainage is easy.

Gee, and all the times I have been standing next to 1300ft of churning water (lake michigan pier) . . . . and I have nothing featuring the water action.Last edited by Redman; 03-05-2022, 04:09 PM.http://webpages.charter.net/ddvrnr/GS850_1100_Emblems.jpg

DaveR that is a beautiful picture of serenity.
Many years ago I had a darkroom setup in my parents laundry room. Buying the enlarger was the biggest cost. I found a used one in the local newspaper want ads - a tell of how long ago it was. I still have everything, but little desire to set it back up, but in these days of easily adapting weird lenses to modern cameras, I’m more then tempted to adapt the enlarger lens to my camera.sigpic

This was an outflow from a local lake. There was enough height difference and narrowness to make for some fast moving water and small wave action. I’m finding that with the days getting longer I can use the F1.7 lens wide or nearly wide open and use a fast shutter to capture some interesting shots. I did have a bunch of pics from this walk with very overexposed highlights though.Originally posted by Redman View PostGreat in multiple ways.

Another one from that spot. I really like the swirling reflections. It reminds me of partially mixed paints.

Drove over to the Elk and Bison range at the Land Between the Lakes Sunday but the Elk and Bison were hiding in the woods. Had to settle for some landscape shots.Last edited by marvinsc; 03-07-2022, 11:33 PM.

That forgotten onion that started to grow in the closet. My wife saved it and put it in a glass.
