Seen any good movies lately?

Saw Disney's Jungle cruise last night. It took me by surprise when I heard Nothing Else Matters from Metallica in the soundtrack.

A more apt title would be Cap'n jungle Jack Johnson and the conquistadors. Sure felt like another pirate movie. Glad I didn't go to a theater for it.

We watched it at home a while back. There were some laughs, but mostly pretty silly. Killed a rainy afternoon, though.

And ... DUNE is fantastic!!!!

I really enjoyed it. The pace of the film reminded me of Blade Runner, and I mean that in a good way. Slow and deliberate with bursts of energy here and there. I hope the plans to continue with more films aren't abandoned.

I’m the last person that I thought would put a Nicolas Cage movie in this thread. But, now that I think about it, a few of his performances are some of my favorites: Wild at Heart, Raising Arizona, Leaving Las Vegas, just off the top of my head. Most of the rest are mostly forgettable.

Tonight we watched Pig, it’s on Hulu. This is Cage at his best.

There's a new Ghostbusters movie, a sequel that takes place 32 years after the first, featuring the granddaughter of Egon Spengler. Bill Murray and Dan Ackroyd and Ernie Hudson all make appearances, as do Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts as well. FUNNY MOVIE! I was the guy who kept laughing loudly. Would definitely see again!

We just finished watching, "Don' Look Up," new on Netflix. Gotta say, pretty darn good.
Very dark, and very funny, and absolutely not, a Christmas movie.

We watched this one a few weeks ago. I thought I had seen all of Tarantino’s films, but Hateful Eight somehow must have slipped past me. It’s no Pulp Fiction, but it’s got the requisite levels of twisted story telling, foul language, and bloody/gory violence.
