    The Phoenix Open golf match ended in a tie, so it goes to playoff. They're now in the second playoff hole. Winner gets $1.4 mil +, runner up $893,000 +. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

            I don’t watch much football. But it was my understanding that a mouthguard is required equipment. In the few playoff games and just now, I see many players with mouthguards just hanging from their face masks, which defeats their purpose. And a big reception by a bengals receiver was just made without it in his mouth. Defender’s was hanging as well. Is this no longer a rule? Maybe it never was. Is it just largely overlooked? Just curious. In Lacrosse, a player found not wearing required equipment gives up possession, and is awarded time in the box.

                      Sportsball players are not required by the NFL to wear any mouth guards, hence the wide variety of types and styles among those that choose to do so.
