    Pittsburgh bridge collapse

"Entire span" collapsed about 60 feet down onto park walkway. Reports say no fatalities so far. Bus dangling over the edge, about a half dozen cars are visible on tv; bridge was "snow covered," but not busy because of two hour school delay due to weather.

President Biden was (perhaps still is) scheduled to speak in that immediate area today on infrastructure.

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

Yeah, and the US isn't the only country where critical public infrastructure has been neglected for decades. I expect more of this, in other places.

Pittsburgh is no. 4 on the list of cities in the world with the most bridges. It's amazing that more of them don't have problems.

timing is crazy. I know a gal who wont drive over a bridge. She is terrified of heights and of failure.
