My modified 1976 Suzuki GT 750 got picked up for a nice write up in the July issue of Vintage Motorcycle.

I absolutely love your GT. I've said for the last several years that my next cycle is going to be a GT. Few things mechanical sound as cool as a 2 stroke. Do i spy a red bull can ahead of the swing arm? A catch can perhaps?

Thanks! It's a lot of fun, and for a two stroke I can actually ride it places and get pretty decent range. That is a Red Bull catch can that I installed and Ironically ended up showing at the Red Bull Moto GP in Indianapolis 2012 for the Cycle World Rolling Concourse. It is functional and catches all the Buffalo's burps.

It hit 65 degrees here in Indiana yesterday so it was time to roll project "Bad Buffalo" out of the garage for a rip in the spring air. I got a new video camera mount I was experimenting with so I placed it on the tripple right behind the Tach. It's a pretty cool perspective and shows how the modified two stroke loves to live on the red side of the Tach. It is So much fun wringing the GT 750's neck! Each video is in HD and less than a minute and a half. If you like the howl of two strokes turn up your volume.

Remarkably the paint was done by my neighbour in my garage and it has to be seen. We sprayed it black and put a gold pearl in the clear he is a great painter and it looks real cool in the sun. I will definitely get the go pro going in the spring cause at 8-10k rpm it has an ungodly howl that is reminiscent of Barry Sheens TR at 200 mph. Well you know. It is a blast to ride and people just can't understand where that sound comes from. Smokers rule. With the porting in this mill it makes it a poor street motor and I am having issues with low speed response made worse by those 38s so come springtime they might go.

SMOKERS DO RULE! When I pull up anywhere the response is nothing but thumbs up and "what year is that bike?". I have to resist building my motor too hot for the street. With 34 oval slides my GT runs perfect on the street, but your motor is definitely hotter than mine. Max I can squeak out may be 85-90HP. Average MPG is currently 24-26mpg.... but boy is it fun too twist that grip! I have not Dynoed the bike yet. My motor was built by Eric Kalamaja of Sun Dial Motorsports in VA, USA.

Your Neighbor did a NICE job on the paint. It's funny that is the color you selected cause Charcoal metallic is a color I almost decided to go with, it looks good on your bike for sure. Smoke on!

Thanks Steve for the fine compliment, but I must disagree with you. Your 75 Buffalo Cafe is BEAUTIFUL and indeed special! I really can appreciate that metallic black paint, finished frame and that motor of yours is awesome in black finish. You have quite an amazing specimen and that motor build....drool. I cannot wait to see a video of your moded GT750 flying down the road on full pipe....

I can tell you and I have similar good taste in vintage 70's & 80's Suzukis. And I am not ashamed to say I am a two-wheeled addict.

The OE beefy GT750 has a great stalwart of a two stroke motor with its liquid cooling. The modern suspension has done wonders for the handling and it is quite transformed. The buffalo was my first real street bike when I was 18 so it is special.

May i ask, what bike the front fender is from?

Front Fender is from a Ducati Monster modified to fit the Busa front end and look period classic. My Katana in the back ground with son piloting it at Indy.
