    I agree, this is one that is so original (I even sent the air in the tires back to Japan for verification), that it should stay original.

    I heard about the aluminum foil on this site..........to be honest, scratching the chrome never even crossed my mind. If I remember correctly, I read that the aluminum was too soft to scratch the chrome....so I just went for it. I started with the exhaust, putting a coat of wax on before moving to the next part.

    I will proceed with a little more caution in the future.

        Very nice

        Very awesome job, noticed the front brake lever, M/C and mirror are missing.

            I like just some chrome polish and 000 grade steel wool. No scratching yet plenty of derusting power.

                  Much of the polishing\scratching is dependent, very much, on the pressure that's applied to the pad.
