project ideas for 84 gs750es

Hey. New to the forum and looking for guidance. I have an opporunity to pick up an 84 gs750es running and clean for a great price. Looking for a project idea for this model? Any ideas or pics that might inspire would be greatly appreciated.

Transplant a 16 valve roller bearing crankshaft engine! from a GS 1100 E or L, or possibly a GS 1150

Why do anything to it? If it is stock and in good shape clean it up, verify it charges and ride the hell out of it.

These are great bikes and work flawlessly when properly tuned. You will likely need to clean & synch carbs, reset valves and perhaps clean up electrical connectors. Those are standard chores but shouldn't be skipped unless you can confirm they were just done.

Enjoy it but don't molest it.

The 7/11 works in the older 750's because the engines are close in size.The 3 gen 750 is way smaller.I'm with my buddy spyug absolutely great bike when tuned up.Have wished I could ditch the 16" front for the better tire selection a 17 would bring but that is a slippery slope I don't want to go down.

Fix it up, make it run amazing... Then sell it for a Bandit 1200 . J/K

If this is your first bike/ biggest bike you've owned for sure keep it and run it for a few seasons. I loved my 750, If I can get another 750 in the stable I plan to do so...
