My 1984 VN700 Vulcan "Bessie Girl" in memory of Levon Helm

I wont go thru posting countless pages of my build, but if anyone is interested.... http://www.chopcult.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40574 or http://www.vn750.com/forum/70-projec...morphosis.html ...check "trip and ride reports" in VN750 also....some really cool pics posted there....we almost got arrested at PJD (Paul jr Desigms)...lol....was funny....but some nice get togethers and rides throughout the northeast. Search threads started by "Wolfie"....used to be a mod there.

I bought it for $500 and a case of beer, running. This is Bessie's metamorphosis into what she is now....and I love her....I left her in my will to my daughter. I had an offer for 3k....turned it down....just too much time, not so much in parts (mostly used)....from my buddy Ed at Unique Cycles in Hewitt, NJ. Even found some old parts from my old Harleys I gave to a brother (thanks Pete). He wasnt usin em. I fabricated the rest....FWD controls, bag mounts, exhaust, etc....Im pretty proud of her.

Best thing is, when I go to some rally, folks come up to me and ask "WTF is that ????"....I just laugh and say its a Frankenbike by Wolfworks Customs....everybody love it....I do to....."she gets me where i wanna go" (DAC)....

Shes part Kawi, part Harley, part Yamaha, part BSA.....could be a few others like 1965 Chevy Impala taillights....and a 1968 Bates fairing off a CB550....but I love her....

Been lookin for more of a road tripper lately, and I like the Kawi Vaquero....but I'll never sell Bessie....too many memories with friends, too many rides and good times, and my Punkin is gettin her when i die....unless I get a REALLY good offer, lol.....
Working...
