I would have been concerned that maybe some places it would not come off.

It's only hard to remove if there wasn't enough sprayed on. If it has enough coats , it will almost come off like vinyl.

This bike only had one coat, maybe 2 so it was a little more tedious than just lifting an edge and peeling it back. I found that if I kept rolling an edge with 2 thumbs pressure I was able to carefully roll it up and off. Many false starts at first. Fortunately there wasn’t a lot of surface to do. Using Goo Gone or other spray on remover seemed messy and slow. Crevices were a little trickier. The whole amount of paint stripped could fit into a 4 oz cup.

...and yes compared to the failing black plasti coat paint, the bike is worth more with factory paint that is in great shape. How much more is debatable. I knew what color was underneath beforehand from the spots that were shredding off around the tail grab bar, but still proceeded.

not crazy about the purple, BUT it is much better than the black....in fact, when I would see pics of that I would think "ech, ugly a$$ thing, hope he got a deal...." heh. nice work!
