    My new FJ1100 sport tourer

My new (old) sport tour I just bought. 1985 FJ1100.....
I have been looking for the right 1983 GS1100ES, but nothing came up that I wanted, and I need a long distance sporty bike for the next summer. I've always read good things about the FJ1100/1200, and I like the style. This one is mint, under 25,000 miles, 100 total miles on a complete HP rebuild. Has a 1315cc kit, Carrillo rods, pump gas, head is ported with oversized valves, pipe and silencer, transmission has upgraded 2nd gear and shift fork, billet clutch basket with new clutch kit, upgraded ignition, 40mm RS flat slide carbs, new Performance Machine 17" wheels with fresh rubber, PM front brakes and SS lines, Works Performance rear shock, forks are rebuilt with Progessive springs. Just a nice bike. And, the best part, 167 HP to the wheel on the dyno..... Will be driving out to Michigan from Seattle to pick it up.

Back in the day our crew had GSs, GPZs, Hurricanes, KZs and one guy had an FJ. I always liked his bike. I casually looked for one myself a few years back but never bought one. Nice bike!

Sounds very nice. The FJ 1100 or 1200, has always been on my, I think would like to have one list. Like other muscle bikes, most have been abused to death, & the few nice ones that are found are very expensive. A few yrs. back, the performance upgrades & 167 HP would have been really nice, today the 2nd gear upgrade & the pump gas is the things that caught my eye. Hey, looks like you did good, congrats.

Beautiful looking bike, and even more of power house. I'm shocked that an FJ1100 can get that sort of HP number on the dyno. Man are you driving a long way to get the bike too, Seattle to Michigan?? wow...
