    How much would you offer for these two GT250's?

    I might go look at these this weekend. Little details right now but how much are project bikes like these worth if you consider maybe one of the motors is good.

      Not much.

      Although it would be cool to put one together, it won't be worth very much.

      Fun bike though.

                                  Any idea what the SAAQ would require to register them?

                                      They'd be worth some money if they were here in the UK - maybe ?700/800. More if Ebay insanity was involved.

                                                      That was basically an X6 Hustler with a cooling air scoop on the head. They had a great reputation as giant killers in their day, and not 100% earned, in my experience. My brother had an X6. The add said:

                                                      "Just when you think you have seen it all... Shift into sixth!"

                                                      They were no match for any 650 british bike we ever had, although they may have been able to run with older single carb 500.

                                                          Wait, I missed the "1". For 800, sure. For 1800, not really.
                                                          I never heard an X6 rider claim he could outrun a British 650, not sure who you talked to. Nor a GT250, which was a calmer, heavier version of the original X6.
                                                          The Japanese giant killer was the RD350. If you could keep it running the short-lived rotary valved Bridgestone 350 also served that purpose.
