Muz bought a BMW. Don't hate me

Hi folks. I love my GS. In fact I love it so much that I don't want to do too many k's on it. I wan't to keep it for a treat. To that end I bought a 2011 BMW R1200R Classic. It's a great bike and much lighter in the handling than the GS and it has a few bells and whistles (heated grips, trip computer, electronic suspension adjustment and various functions on the dash) and has 13,000k's on it. It rides very nicely and the suspension is better than the GS but other than that the GS holds it's own very well. I really know now why I bought the GS. What a great bike that rides well and can tour or do the twisties with aplomb.

Here's a couple of pics of the R1200R for those who care.

    Cheers,
    Muz

The BMW shop near me gave me one of those as a loaner once while my R12s was being serviced. I'm not fond of the styling but what a blast it was to ride. They feel deceptively light and agile. I took it for a ride through the canyons and had a great time.
      Congratulations.

If I had been asked to nominate a modern bike I would buy this would be it.

Shaft drive, not complicated, relatively light and classic looks.

There's nothing strange about it, it works well.

Don't you know about all the recals with BMW?? that they have surpassed Harley's for the amount of breakdowns??? that they are highly overpriced????....... kidding, kidding... Just couldn't help but razz Trevor, I think he got a bit of ribbing when he first bought his. Nice looking bike, very traditionally BMW. I love my RT, it's a completely different experience than the GS. The GS is great too but when you got to put in "allot" of miles I take the Beemer.

                            Awesome bike mate,
I saw a hipster bloke on the weekend telling me about the amazing deal he got from Deus, a 250cc something(he doesnt know) for only $15,000.

I think i know which i would buy for that money.

If he was a true hipster, he wouldn't care, but I'm with you on the choice.
