78' ts250
So when I'm riding the ol' TS250 at highway speeds, 80km/hr or so and go to throttle up she starts to misfire. I can fix the problem by throttling down. If I'm in the bush I can rev it up and down with no problems, it's just at a constant high RPM that this issue happens. The bike rides perfectly except for the constant high speed issue. Any thoughts?Tags: None -
Could well be the plug. Is your TS one of the ones with provision for two plugs ? If so run the standard plug grade in one hole and a grade harder/colder in the other. From memory std is a NGK7, for sustained high revs, I'd use an 8.
The other prime possibilty is a partially blocked tank cap. The synthetic cork in them breaks up after a time. When it starts misfiring, open the cap and see if it stops it. -
