I am sure there is , I'd also bet the connecting rods can handle more than we give them credit for. no pictures of the 82 I had way back in Utah.. I had a mint 84 in silver too , I left it alone and just rode it.Originally posted by Buffalo Bill View PostAre the GPz engines at their HP limit, or can more be gained with tweaks like; higher cams, porting?

I'll buy it now and sell it to you this summer for $3,000.
Actually, I've got the Yang to its Yin. My GPZ is a silver '84, with a stainless Supertrapp and K&N pods.
I like it tremendously. It doesn't steer as my GS700ES, but in long, 80+ mph sweepers, it's rock steady and quite confidence inspiring.GS450E GS650E GS700ES GS1000E GS1000G GS1100G GS1100E

Doh!
Next summer I'll have money in the bank,
maybe enough to buy the squeaky clean and perfectly restored GPz750 Turbo from a guy I worked for just a couple weeks ago. I think he wants 6 grand.

Kan't really see much in the pic of George's bike, but online it looks like about a 40mm difference.
I like the silver mo-betta, but silver, black or red all excellent.
Trippivot's was silver too.
Just about 6-7 years ago I missed an excellent 83 or 84 550 and 750 near me. Prices have only gone up since.1982 GS1100G-

I would think that if it had been wrecked (or just dropped) enough to lose the fairing, that the turn signals would have been damaged as well, and not replaced. I don't know though. Down here, if it has them, they have to work. If it doesn't have them, it will pass inspection without them.https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4442/...678005be58.jpg

I got mine as you see it in that picture for $1,300. It was a case of a fellow down the street who couldn't ever get the jetting right, never rode it as a result, and was moving and needed to get rid of it. He listed it on Craigslist for a couple weeks for $2,000, then the weekend he was moving, in an act of desperation, asked me for my best offer.Originally posted by Buffalo Bill View PostKan't really see much in the pic of George's bike, but online it looks like about a 40mm difference.

I put a Stage III kit in it, adjusted the valves and sync'ed the carbs, and she ran beautifully. She's getting stainless brake lines, a sport luggage rack, and a Corbin seat this winter in preparation for the 2016 Brown County rally.GS450E GS650E GS700ES GS1000E GS1000G GS1100G GS1100E

The 750 Turbos were just as fast as the 1100's and worth much more on the collector market. Still my favorite GPZ!!!!Originally posted by Rob S. View PostGPz1100...Current stable:

For me, size matters. Looking at your stable, I think you agree. How 'bout we compromise? Agreed! But if any of the Japanese bike makers would put a turbo or supercharger on a "smaller" displacement bike again, I'd line up for it! Think H2R! Had I just not spend 18K on a VMAX last year, I may have looked seriously into one of these!!!!Originally posted by Rob S. View PostFor me, size matters. Looking at your stable, I think you agree. Wow! The guy I mentioned before about having the museum quality GPz750Turbo, also had a white CBX in museum quality too.
He called me to fix the display lights over his 1962 BMW and 1953 Indian.
Long winded guy who did everything and made a lot of money, also said he and some friends were the first to ride across Bhutan.
He was 78 so I just listened to what he said, without questions.1982 GS1100G-
