Wait a minute, weren't the 900 F's "81" & "82", my "83" is an 1100 F

I am almost certain that my last one was a 1983 model. The two I owned were successive year models, anyway. Perhaps they were 1981 and 1982.

I'm not absolutely positive, because it was 20+ years ago, and it isn't that important to me.
