Its a $1000 bike at most. Its got the Bike saver touring package on it that saved another bike. Craig Vetter should be in the motorcycle hall of fame for preserving so many classic old bikes with his Vetter motorcycle savers. There are lots of REALLY nice bikes out there with Vetter stuff on it. The 78 GS1000 I picked up had the Vetter bike saver system on it. My sanitation service takes anything that is put at the curb...Current Rides: 82 GS1100E, 00 Triumph 955 Speed Triple:twistedevil:, 03 Kawasaki ZRX1200, 01 Honda GL1800, '15 Kawasaki 1000 Versys

Agreed. I do think the mileage makes it worth more than $1000, but there is a complete lack of effort in making it shiny / sparkly to attract buyers. I'm trying to distance myself from it... but he is great neighbor, good friend, and 100% blind. So I will probably help him more.Originally posted by limeex2 View PostCraig Vetter should be in the motorcycle hall of fame for preserving so many classic old bikes with his Vetter motorcycle savers.1980 GS1000G - The Beast - GOING... Just because somebody else doesn't understand market value doesn't make your price evaluation any less spot on. I'd say a grand to $1500 tops. Not highly desirable or collectible, and that's a FACT.Originally posted by limeex2 View PostI stand corrected. Yeah. Sounds like most of our GSs except for a very few models.Originally posted by 83GS1100E_Tornado View PostJust because somebody else doesn't understand market value doesn't make your price evaluation any less spot on.
