The S2 had more HP and less weight. Plus it was a triple..., if you can't afford a H1 or H2, go with the baby S2. The KH400 was pretty neutered for emissions. OK, maybe the KH250 is the least desirable.sigpic

I'd love to have this bike. Wouldn't mind a 250 either. The 400 is reputed to be the most civil of the KHI triples. And I'm sure some basic porting would bring it to life too if the power delivery is too tame for you.Ed

Well that 400 sold in under a week. So few remaining triples are apparently diving the price through the roof. I remember the Kawasaki dealer in NJ was clearing out leftover KH400s in 1978 for $895 because nobody wanted a 2-cycle street bike anymore.Steve

In my opinion the H1 was a fairly civil running bike. The wire spoked wheels and brake system on them was an entirely different matter. A hopped up H2 on the other hand made for what I would characterize as a very uncivilized ride even after being converted to dual disc brakes up front.Comment

Yep, grew up in a place called Waldwick. Motorcycles were a natural fit since I was a tempered teenage hooligan. When looking for the Suzuki GS, Kawasaki of Ramsey was clearing out KH's. Much later moved to Cherry Hill for a couple of year before settling in ColoradoSteve
