78 gs400 engine in 84 gs400 body?

Is this doable or do I need to stick with an engine from the 80's? The body is a 400 e or s and the engine is a 400l if the side covers dont lie.

You maybe hard pressed to find someone who knows.

Not as hard as you think Charlie.Scott the answer is with a set of new mounts maybe.The mounting points on the engines are different.Had a newer TSCC engine a PO was trying to put in a 79 frame.The front and bottom mounts did not line up.
