    Sprockets, Chain for '82 GS400

how many teeth on front, and how many on rear should I be getting for good fuel economy and speeds up to 120km/h?

What sort of chain should I be looking at?

16 front and 43 back is stock i believe

with that setup @120 your revving 7400 and that's just below its second powerband of 7500 where it really moves and sucks allot more gas!

I would try another tooth up on the front and drop 2 in the rear 2 17/41

At least that's what I'm going to try to hopefully drop it to 6500 at highway speed.

Not sure about the 400, but I bet lowering the RPM at highway speeds costs you more fuel.

These tiny engines need to spin to be efficient.

The 400 has a powerband that starts at 7500 but at that point your hands start to go tingly numb from the constant vibration
